I wouldn't have thought it makes any difference. I'm sure an electronics engineer will think differently.

If it's over a short distance it shouldn't make any difference at all.

No difference at all for your purpose, but you might as well go for cat 6, always best to use better quality, as one day it might be useful!

Some chap posted recently about making sure any cable you order is more than the minimum length. I don't know what the minimum length is though.

1.5m (i think, some say it's 1m though) is the minimum recommended cable length for conencting 2 devices.
