Slow speeds and ping jumping all over the place

i am with namesco broadband and my speed has been very poor the guys in the help desk have been doing there best

I HAVE HAD BT OUT TO MY HOME 8 TIMES AND STILL NO BETTER TRIED EVERY THING FROM CONNECTING DIRECTLY TO THE MASTER SOCKET DOWN STAIRS AND WIRELESS LAST NIGHT I TRIED WITH A FLY LEAD AND GOT THE BEST SEED EVER 3.9 MEG FOR 30 MINUTES THEN BACK DOWN 212 KBS AND UP 200 DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT WILL HELP THIS PROBLEM I WAS NEARLY BETTER OF WITH 56K
I GAME ALOT AND KEEP GETTING KICKED FROM BF2 BECAUSE OF MY PING

Is this a new ADSL installation or have you had a previous ISP with whom you were getting better data rates.

You may just have a poor line.

Do you know your line characteristics?

If BT have visited 8 times and haven't charged you, it's almost certainly an external fault. Has anyone from BT said anything that might shed some light on this? Did anyone mention SFI for example?
