Red VP

Exchange's VP showing as red on exchange checker. Could this be the reason for very poor web browsing considering I can get FTP files at full speed and a speedtest on port 8095 shows full speed as opposed to port 80. Or would the VP affect all protocols?

VP congestion affects all protocols, suggest you need to look a little deeper, possibly ISP shaping ?

Definatley ISP shaping then....but I can't believe they are throttling port 80.
I don't use P2P, torrents etc. I do any Downloads through the day (and windows updates is as big as they get) yet browsing at night is now frustratingly slow.

Someone at BT needs to waken up and realised how many people are getting fed up of this.

I wouldn't have thought that general HTTP traffic was being "managed" unless someone has set up the policies wrongly. If that was the case, there would be an outcry from fellow users so I would be looking elsewhere for the fault.

There is...have alook at the BT forum!

HTTP/Port 80 is usually wt ISP's don't throttle.

Perhaps look at deleting temporary files and temporary internet files.
In internet explorer >> Tools> Internet Options >> Delete Files.
