Speed after a filter plate and an ST 585

[link to this post]

For the past 2 years I have been using a speedtouch 330 usb modem, suplied by the isp and it used to be plugged into an extension socket, I would sync at 2.3mps, my speed would be between 1.5 and 2 Mps. This week I got a new filter plate from adsl nation and fitted it to the NTE5 socket. I also bought a speedtouch 585 v6. When I conected the 585 my sync went up to 3,712kbps and it has stayed there for the last 3 days. Yesterday I noticed that my speed is now 2.5 Mps, and the BT speedtest is showing my Ip profile as 2500 I had thought that with a speed of 3,712 I would have got 3Mps going by the guide here:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/2622-another-max-product-update.html
Is my profile likely to go up any further ?
My latest stats:

If you hold that sync (which I have no doubt you will) then you can expect your IP profile to increase to 3000. Theoretically, it should happen in 3 days of holding that sync, but theory doesn't always equal reality.

Rather a lot of errors for three days up time.

Maybe the OP should up the margin with the DMT tool and sacrifice some line rate to ensure stability.

You're right, I didn't notice the margin. It does look a little low.

I have used the DMT tool but the firmware at the time had the 'idle time-out' problem. So I have flashed it with the latest, but DMT doesn't work with this firmware. ..but no 'time-out' problem for the past 3 days.
