Best DSL router for long line connections

I'm just at the distance limit from my exchange and I'm running a 512k service. Get occasional line drops - seems to come and go in bunches, at the moment reliability is pretty poor but then I can go weeks / months with a solid connection.

Currently using a BT Voyager 2110, was wondering if a different router would give better reliability over my connection? Any thoughts / recommendations very welcome.
