bt speedtester no longer working - number not reco

For a while, I have used the speedtester at bt.speedtester.com and found it to be a very useful tool for diagnosing any problems. Since a few weeks ago, it gives me an error saying telephone number not found.
After reading the forums, I found out it has something to do with LLU. Apparently if you are an LLU customer you are no longer in BT's IP network and your number won't be recognised. Is this true? I am on AOL, and I believe CPW have taken them over, and they are an LLU provider. Is there now no way for me to use the speedtester? And is there an alternative way for me to see my line profile speed? That was the main thing I used it for.

The BT Speedtester is located on the BT network - and if you are on LLU you aren't anymore. So, no you will not be able to use the tester if you are on LLU.

Not completely sure, but...
If you are on an LLU connection then BT's IP Profile system won't apply to you any more, so you are free of their "snakes and ladders" profile system

IP profile does not apply if on LLU.

Since BT Wholesale are not paid if on LLU then any tester is down to CPW/AOL to produce now.
