tbbMeter and .NET 2.0 framework

[link to this post]

I have Windows Vista, which does not support .NET 2.0 framework . Apparently I need .NET 2.0 framework to be able to install the tbbMeter. Is there any way around this?

Higher versions are usually backwards-compatible. Have you tried it with .NET 3?

It runs on Vista no problem, and my development machine has 2.0, 2.1 and 3.5 on it
