Mains Connection shambles. Iplate Required?

[link to this post]

HI there. I have just moved into a new residence and connected with PLusnet.
I have been informed I should be getting speeds in the range of 6mps. However I am luucky to get 230k!
I took a look around on this forum and noticed the hype about an iplate and compatability with certain types of mains boxes e.t.c.

However upon looking for my mains box I found this mess...

Is that an iplate with nothing else at the back? What should I do to maximise my speeds e.t.c?

Any assistance would be appreciated!!!

that is an NTE5 master socket with no extension wiring. There's nothing much you can do to improve on the wiring there, apart from putting it back together and fixing it to the wall smile

Go to speedtester.bt.com and post the results here. You need the login details (username) issued by your ISP.
