Intermittent Connectivity

Hi, i have been experiencing connectivity problems for a number of weeks (6). My DSL light on my Thomson Speedtouch flashes, tried changing the filters and also a new Netgear router but the problem still persists. This leads me to believe their may be an exchange problem, also when i am fortunate enough to be connected my speed is significantly slower than what im used too. Engineer due out tomorrow. Any ideas?

got any numbers like attenuation, SNR margin, sync speed etc ?

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.
