Duff filter causes profile drop ?

[link to this post]

Lost adsl connection in the early hours of this morning and didn't get around to checking things out until lunchtime. Adsl had synched by then but at dial-up speeds, so I replaced a filter and that seemed to sort it as my sync stats all went back to normal.
Everything is still slow however, how come it takes a while to get back up to full speed when it was only low for such a short period of time ?
Thanks.

Unfortunately BT's IP Profile system is @^&% !

Things go down VERY FAST and go back up very SLOWLY! frown

The man at BT liked "Snakes and Ladders" when he was a child!

Speeds recover depending on the size of the change - i.e. small profile steps can take up to 5 days and large changes should recover much quicker if your line has re-connected at your normal speeds.

Thanks for that. Browsing is ok but looks like no Call Of Duty for me tonight then.
