Re: Are high CRC errors normal?

[re: Chrysalis] [link to this post]

Been in touch with BT India almost daily as by yesterday the noise margin had gone up to 15 db, leaving me with a downstream speed of only 2624. Today I was called and assured yet more work had been done by the Engineering Dept and they asked me to monitor. I first insisted the 15 db margin be reduced to 9 db and it seems things have improved. (A 6 db margin causes me a loss of sync overnight). I was still getting 3000 CRC errors per hour even on 15 db whereas now it's only 22 in the two hours since the reconnect this morning after the noise margin was reduced. The error seconds value looks like a bug though - I've also seen it in 6 figures....

Thanks for your advice on recent posts.
