Hi,
I hope someone can help with this one...
Probably about 2 years ago, I rented an office from one of my customers, and had my own line installed, with broadband.
Here's the current situation:
2 lines, the sockets are within 2 inches of each other, both with the same broadband provider.
The original line which was there before I moved in, with ADSL Max, syncing at around 6.5Mbps
The new line that was installed is syncing at around 1.8Mbps.
Tracing the wires from these sockets, both lines go into the same BT "big box", the main cable (multi core) comes out of that box, and into the ground, total length within the building is around 2 meters...
I have contacted the ISP (also my BT wholesale reseller for the line), they are unable to do anything, they have logged it as a fault with BT, but it keeps getting closed as "no fault"
How can I have 2 lines into the same building, entering on the same multi-core cable, yet have a huge difference in the line speed?
I have tried an iPlate, but as there isn't any extensions, this didn't make any difference, I'm currently connected directly into the test socket... Same problem.
I have tried EVERYTHING! How can I get BT to "fix" the line?
Many thanks
Richard
