Who fits a new NTE5 socket?

My telephone service and BB are provided by TalkTalk. I have a very old BT socket which I'd like replaced with an NTE5 socket. Over a year ago, BT replaced the cable from the pole across the road to the house because it was sagging and the double decker busses kept taking it out

Do I contact BT or TT to have a new socket fitted? I want it exactly the same place as it is convenient for power sockets my router and my Time Capsule.

If it's really old you *might* get it done FOC as a 'regularisation'.

I managed that from BT (a few years back) by saying "I want to install some extensions and have nothing to connect to". Don't mention ADSL.

Or at worst the OP should get it done for £29.38 according to BT_Care

The OP uses TalkTalk, so they would need to ask if they operate a similar scheme and/or what their prices are.

You could fake problems with your connection. When they say "can you try connecting to the test socket" tell them you don't have one and they will probably arrange for one (NTE5) to be fitted.
