Regular disconnects when uploading.

Hi,
I'm with ADSL24 which I believe is using a C&W connections.
I've noticed that when I start uploading to YouTube I get regular disconnections

My router is showing a DSL sync at 11006/511

The router is a Netgear dg834gv5 v1.6.01.34

downstream attenuation is 41db
downstream noise margin is 9.1db

upstream attenuation is 17db
upstream noise margin is 7.5db

There are lots more! It remains pretty stable until I upload!

More to the point, what do the router logs say? Those logs show nothing about discons.

These are session lengths as seen from the remote end, most are only a few minutes long. When we are not uploading these sessions can last for days?
Not sure I can easily extract logs from my modem and router. I'm
using a dg834g as a modem and a Soekris router to handle the PPPoE connections.

Logs on the modem should show something.

Netgear Web Interface -> Security/Logs

I'll have a look tonight to see what is in the logs.
My connection remained stable for 2 days until Ibegan some youtube uploads last night.
Looking at the logs at adsl24 it showed about 15 to 20 disconnections to my session between 9pm and 12am?

Any ideas as to what *could* be causing this behaviour only on uploads?

Have you tried a different modem or modem router?

The DG834Gv5 is known to be rubbish for ADSL

Which package are you on ADSL24?
