Losing broadband connection intermittently

Hello,
I am having an issue with my broadband which only seems to occur when I am streaming HD video.
I will be watching video and all of a sudden the connection to the internet will go. I appear to still be connected to the router but I am no longer able to get onto the internet. My I phone will be able to see the wireless network but will be unable to connect. The only remedy to this issue to reboot the router and reconnect. I have phoned my ISP but they have been unable to diagnose the issue.
Has anyone experienced the same or know what could be causing this.

I'd imagine the first thing to check (as it's the most basic) is the 'connect on demand' setting on the router.
