Can someone please help me before I have a nervous breakdown! Lol.
I have had BT broadband for 12 years but the last year has been TERRIBLE! In a nutshell the broadband service is Soooooo erratic that it has become unbearable! I lose connection at least TWICE a day for the past 7 months! (I always connect by ethernet cable btw). I have complained over and over again to BT and today the FIFTH engineer came to visit. It's always the same though, they carry out tests and tell me there is nothing wrong! There has been 2 engineer visits in the last week or so! The last but one engineer (No. 4) gave me a new hub, the one before that moved the main phone socket that engineer 2 had installed (It's the socket that doesn't need a filter) and still they say there is no problem. We are now apparently trying the socket with the front plate off and a filter to 'Isolate it' from the rest of the house. Within 45 minutes of the engineer leaving today, guess what? NO BROADBAND for an hour or so. And it has gone down a further 2 times.
When it works it's great BUT when it doesn't, arghhhhhh! I have screen prints of every BT speed test I have done and the results range from 31kbps to 11000kbps.
Today I finally learnt how to look at events from the hub manager. PLEASE could someone have a look at these and tell me if there's a problem or is it just me? Am I going mad?
