SNR Constant Spikes

Hi since 15:30 yesterday I have been seeing extreme spikes on my SNR.

I resynced a number of times and changed the filters to see if one had failed but it made no difference.

I have been monitoring the spikes on RouterStats lite and its spiking from -0.2db to 7 with an average around 3db when it resynced at 7616kpbs this was in the evening.

Normally my SNR would be around 5.5-6db in the daytime synced at 7392kpbs and 4.5-5.5db in the evenings constant with no real sudden spikes like I am seeing.

Around 04:20 my line seemed to lost sync and resynced at 7104kpbs.

Router is an D-Link DSL-2640R ISP is AAISP.

What would the cause of this be?

A 3dB swing with a 40 second period is rather worrying.

First of all - can you power off everything else in the house except the PC and router and see if the same happens? If it doesn't start turning items back on and see if that located the cause. If it doesn't you have a nice hunt on your hands.

Well I got a new router which totally stopped the packet loss but I've resulted in a lower sync speed due to the new router. I'll have lost about 1/2mb when my profile is adjusted.

Good thing is Sunday afternoon the noise spikes went away, ill stick with this new router wifi coverage is better and native IPv6.
