master socket location

just trying to look for obvious faults while im waiting on my line to retrain.

my master socket sits directly behind my pc almost touching, its the socket that has the phone and adsl connection on it which i believe is all ready filtered.

will the location so close to pc be causing interference on adsl side?

If the PC has a particularly RF noisy power supply

As MrSaffron says it's not ideal.

If it's tricky to move things then perhaps you could temporarily move the PC and monitor your line stats/errors and see if it makes a difference

EDIT: Where you say "believe..." - I would 'make sure' you know how things are set up!!!
