Speed slowing by 90% in peak hours

Hello all,

I'm hoping for some help as I'm getting none from AOL / TALK TALK. I live in the country, around 4km from the exchange, and generally get between 2-3mb down speed, which is fine. Last few weeks however it's been geeting worse and worse in peak hours, firstly around 0.5-1mb between 6pm - 9pm, but now down to 0.1-0.3mb all evening and most of the weekend. According to my router stats I'm syncing at 3900k, so am I right in thinking either BT or AOL have a botleneck their not admitting?

The TalkTalk BT Wholesale package is known to be pretty poor. It might be worth switching to Plusnet.

Allow for the Market 1 price uplift with PN. BT might be cheaper.
