Issues in the LL29 (North Wales) Area?

Hello one and all,

I am with Sky Broadband and about 1 week ago my internet stopped working. About 0.0001% of sites still work (I can get onto Youtube but cannot play videos) and I can google things but that's it.

I call Sky who mess me around for an entire week and finally today I've been told that there is an issue in the exchange but because it's a multiple something problem they cannot do anything. There is no timescale as well.

So, my main question is, does anyone have simlar problems, ideally in the area quoted in the Subject. Any help appreciated.

http://www.talktalk.co.uk/service-status/ and similar ISP pages generally list their own and major issues, do Sky have such a thing ? Anyone local to you with the same problem ?

Have you any other internet devices you can use to make sure it's not some type of malware issue?

what are they expecting will happen? Is it a BT line perhaps and they are in BT's hands?

Have you been able to take the computer to another location and it can access the internet properly at this other location?

That should rule out any malware/DNS issues on the computer itself.

You need to put in your full Postcode, I just tried it with a friends postcode in Old Colwyn and it does not show a problem, have you tried turning the router off for 30 seconds and rebooting it.
