Hi everyone,
I currently live in a semi detached house which was built 2 years ago. I've read online about the various upgrade and tweaks that can be performed on your internal wiring, face plates, filters etc to improve your broadband connection and reduce interference etc. I just need some advice and pointers on what can be done to my particular layout if anything as
The layout is as follows from outside to inside:
There is an XNTE Box as shown outside my front door. Wiring then comes into my house and into the hallway where it is connected to this exact socket as shown in the hallway. My router is currently connected to the hallway socket via a micro filter which my cordless phone is connected also. There are no other extension sockets in the house either. I've read that the XNTE boxes are now defunct and that there are various faceplates with filters that can help with noise etc
My connection at present is showing the following stats:
Connection Speed: 20148kbps downstream and 1188kbps upstream
Line Attenuation: 13.5db downstream and 6.2 upstream
Noise Margin: 3.4db downstream and 5.9db upstream
