My EE brightbox drops conncetivity every 30secs to 3 mins

I've had the box for just under a year I'd say now and recently it has started disconnecting me from the internet every 30 seconds to 3 minutes, this is a real problem for my online gaming which I have just bought a pc for and originally I thought it was my powerline adapters but they are fine and I think it is my brightbox as on my phone I also get disconnected. This also happens with other laptops etc etc.

The micro disconnects are the main problem as they cut you from online games and therefore I cannot play.

My pc uses windows 8.1.

See it has the slit across the middle.

You mention the phone also gets disconnected? Is this the landline? Is there noise on the landline when you make a call?

No the plug doesn't have a line across it unfortunately (its just one big plate)

I mean my mobile phone (like when I play clash of clans or things like that) the landline is okay I think

Do you have a socket with a slit across it in the household? Any installation done properly by BT in the last 20 - 30 years should have a correct master socket. It could be that the internal wiring in your home isn't upto spec. Have a good look around for a telephone socket like that image.

Alternatively if your wiring is quite old your master may look like this

Notice it has the T logo in the corner. It may also have the BT logo here.

Do you have any sockets like this?

Connection uptime is normally on the same page as the stats.

No, unfortunately not but I do have a bt socket like this downstairs:

It also has pcs in the top right corner and a symbol in the bottom right corner

On initial Status page as 'Time Connected:'.

You speed is v. slow. You should be getting 10 Meg sync.

Unplug router from socket. Using a corded handset, if poss, do the Quiet Line Test by dialing 17070 Opt 2 and listen for any noise. If there is any report it as a voice fault w/out mentioning BB.

If there is no noise with router not present, repeat QLT with router connected.

Ok can you plug the router into the BT socket as that looks to be the master socket. Can you post stats from here also? Your sync is slow so perhaps the socket is the issue...

It MAY help. Let me know if it does.

Ensure every single phone socket has a filter connected to it if there's a device connected to that socket eg sky box, landline, fax machine, burgular alarm. Should all be filtered. The slow speeds could be due to an unfiltered device.

Every single device connected to any phone socket needs to be filtered.

The filter should plug in before ANYTHING else. So exactly like this

See there are 4 sockets in use. At each socket a filter is used before the other devices.
If one device was connected WITHOUT a filter, this would cause massive issues. Say a landline plugged straight into the socket without a filter...
So you need to ensure that your devices are all filtered too
The downside to this example is the modem isn't in the master socket. BUT it really should be. So move your router down to the BT socket like I've said before.

Notice that there is a splitter connected BEFORE the filter.
The filter needs to be the FIRST device connected to every socket.

EDIT: Can you give us stats in the BT socket as well please.
