Dead Line

[link to this post]

I’ve got a dead line no Broadband or Dial tone.
Have had a lot of reconnections recently and a really bad buzzing line, when doing quiet line test. 17070.
Link for the stats I had a few days ago before it dropped out

Was getting 180mb max Data rate capped at 160mb and around 25mb up.
Do have an Engineer booked in. Would they replace the line between the Pole and the house if it turned out to be a fault in that part of cable. Cable does get hidden on front of house and no work has recently been done either. There was a fault in the area but that was supposedly been fixed.

How long is a piece of string? No way of knowing what they will do until they identify the fault and what the options are for fixing it.

And yes, it could be as simple as a loose connection - single punch down with a Krone tool, right through to "sorry, the whole cable has degraded, no spares available ..."

Going by the sync rate, line attenuation and noise margin that looks like the worst performing G.Fast line I've ever seen.

There was something very poorly with the line prior to complete loss of service.
