Hi. I have a rural long line, adsl2, which provides a magnificent 4.5 Mbps service. A Billion 7800n has provided sterling service for many years but the wireless coverage isn't great and anyway its getting long in the tooth. I bought a tp link wireless router with a view to improving coverage ( and for something new to play with).
I have set it up with the 7800n in pure bridge mode but by mistake left it's wireless service on, a bit annoying, but I can no longer access it over the network which may also be an issue in the future if I ever need to reset the snr adjustment etc.
My question is, if I set the 7800n back to being a router, use the tp link on the same subnet as an access point, switch off the 7800n wireless service and have the 7800n as dhcp server would I be losing any benefits from the current pure bridge set up ?
