Fritzbox 7530 and 5g dropping.

[link to this post]

So I've got an issue where my 5g network will stop randomly and ownt come back until a power cycle. The 2.4ghz stays working fine but the 5g just vanishes. Although the fritzbox reports it's functional albeit with nothing connected.

This issue happens on auto channel or manually picked. If I use the same SSID or separate and with or without 5g/2.4 switching.

The fritzbox never shows up anything under radar detection when picking channels and the only error code I've had from when it disconnects my devices is (#0104)

There is one weird and seemingly random thing of note. In my area there are 22 ish 5g networks that my box picks up and every single one of them is either on the same channel or one within a few channels and all under 48.

I've done some searching and asked around bit I honestly can't find much information about this so any and all help is appreciated.

If the 5GHz drops out for a minimum of 1 minute and then comes back on a different channel then it is looking for a new automatic channel to operate on.

The DFS regulations require that it has scanned (COT) the provisional new channel for at least 1 minute before becoming operational.
For channels 120 thru 124 thru 128 the COT wait is 10 minutes.
If the DFS detection is sensitive enough this can result in several consecutive COT periods before it finds a usable channel.

Non-DFS channels are 36 to 48 (indoor) and the more recently added 149-161
So you may have to select from that even if it means coexistence rather than the continual hunting.

Depending on your firmware it may not have the latter available if they previously required a licence and/or it doesn't have an up to date list of regulatory domains.

with IP4/6 (no v6? - not true Internet)
