Hi,
Had issues on my fibre FTTP and this fault came up, "Ethernet TCC parameters exceeded", any one know what it is?

My guess is a high light reading. Often a bum splice somewhere.

Light reading was fine, just under 15, which he said was at the better end of the scale circ 25 is bad

Or as a scientist would say, a low light reading.

But it is understandable why those working with it all day quote the larger numbers as worse. A power of -25dBm is a lot less than -15dBm, but a bit of a mouthful.

Some further clue as to that actual problems you are experiencing would be helpful. Of itself, this message would not be hindering you! Also, what is reporting this fault would be helpful. Googling "ethernet TCC" gives some background, but giving no context makes it hard for people to give meaningful help.

I am experiencing erratic speed issues, vary from 25mb to 470 on a 550 line speed.

The OR engineer ran test and that was the error,

It's a new install around 3 weeks and started from.week 1.

The OR street build was completed 2 weeks before hand

After a bit of digging this looka likely to be an issue on the CP side of the cable link at the handover/headend.

The ISP is Vodafone.

is the CP end the ISP side? He tested it with nothing plugged into the ONT so would be surprised if its my side?

Another user on ZEN had same issue but not replied to my post on TBB, how it was fixed.

Thank you all
