Hi all. I am fairly techy user and I have had Befibre for just over 3 years now.
I have been happily using my own Netgear router + fp link mc220l fibre media converter for the full 3 years without issue.
Engineers arrived 2 days ago to swap the connection outside to a new pole as Openreach decommissioned the original pole.
When reconnected outside and re spliced inside the house, my equipment would not reconnect right away so they were testing the fibre saying there is light etc. So said fault on my stuff basically. Left it about 20 mins and it suddenly reconnected. Great... or not. Speed tests always flawless 940 down 950 up. Now its struggling to make 800 down, upload is still 940. This is tested with ethernet connected pc too.
After a few days of wondering, I decided to reboot the tplink and router and it would not reconnect at all. Left it over night nothing.
Reconnected the Adtran thing and it did seem to struggle for 5 mins but it came on and connected right away and reconnects every time I power cycle it. But speed tests still a lot down from the 900+ it was prior to pole swap.
Surely this cant be a odd co-incidence something has failed with my stuff at the exact time they swapped the pole and ran a new connection in to my house?
Everything is configured correct as per Befibre, VLAN ID 10 , DHCP address for the WAN , cloned the MAC from the Adtran router to the Netgear router and like I said been fine for 3+ years.
Anyone with anything I can try before replacing everything?
Thanks
