Being connected to broadband through the Shoreditch exchange, I was intrigued to hear Cameron's proclamation of his dreams for Shoreditch / Old st being a new silicon valley.... With some of the slowest broadband speeds in the country and no evident plans for upgrade to superfast fibre optic...I wondered how this was going to happen... Anyone got any clues?
Probably because the majority of companies creating a silicon valley would use their own leased lines and would not be relying on ADSL solutions. The question is how well their employees could work from home, but as they wouldn't have to live that close to the employer they could chsose homes in areas that do have decent low cost connectivity.

I'm not shore what you mean, there are several LLU operators who provide 20 Megs broadband plus Virgin who provide 100 megs broadband at Shoreditch.
