Hi all,
I am a new user here and just want to get some expert opinion from you guys.
I have been using TT for the past 8 months, for the first 7 months the connection has been acceptable with the connection slowing at busy times, but still usable - on average getting around 4-5mbps download speed...but for the last month it has been unusable!
The fastest speed I can get for the past month is around 0.85mbps with the laptop connected to the router, at times it would be down to 0.2mbps. I have called TT numerous times in the past month and they seem to be taking me in circles. They keep saying they will check the line and then send texts over saying they are checking etc but then at the end they always come back with the same answer, there is no fault on the line...but they don't give me an actual solution!
I read somewhere on the forum about TT 'throttling' the speed if I use more P2P downloading, I don't do that much P2P - around 2gb a week maybe. Also the package I have is so called 'unlimited usage', but would they slow the connection if use a lot?
I still have 4 months on my contract and I know the usual way of cutting the contract means I need to pay them. But with this Internet connection, can I complain and demand them to cut my contract for free etc? I have made notes of the connection speed for the past month as I read somewhere if I want to complain then I need this evidence.
But do any of you guys have any suggestion into what I can do?
Thanks in advance!
