Can a customer typically get any information from an ONT much like they could from and HG612 VDSL modem?

Not that I'm aware of.

Another update. After a long game of ping pong between Vodafone and CityFibre (who were adamant the issue was not on their network side), it transpires there is another Gigafast customer with exactly the same issue as me in the same geographical area. Correlating the data, Vodafone have discovered we are connected to the same line card, so have thrown the fault back to CityFibre for investigation and hopefully replacement or a lift and shift to another card. Hopefully we are on the way to a resolution. A faulty line card would also, I think, explain the weird packet loss symptoms shown on my BQM Graph for the connection.

Again I can't fault the Vodafone Gigafast tech support team (all been UK based, and some working from home), they have always called back when they said they would, and have kept me informed throughout via text or calling with updates.

CityFibre it seems need to up their game with regards to fault finding and resolution, and information relayed back to their customer (Vodafone). I guess its probably a similar situation sometimes with ISPs trying to get a resolution and information from Openreach.

Gigafast Care and Tech are based in Newark (when they would be in the office), they're a specialised team (although deal with FTTC as well but not as often). They know their stuff, just a shame its taking as long it as it is doing, usually Gigafast works well from the off.

Indeed. I shall be seeking a reduction in my first month's bill from VF, not really fair on them if its not a fault on their side, however I've had an unusable connection for going on two weeks, and VF are who I pay, not CF.

Hopefully CF sort it sometime this week.

You're right in every respect to that, as much as CF provide the physical connection VF are your ISP.

Final update (hopefully)!

Line card was replaced around 2pm Monday 3rd, and the results were instantaneous:
BQM Graph Before / After Line Card Replacement

Now happily zooming along on my symmetrical 100 connection. Happy days (finally!).

You've shared the graph for the 4th, not the 3rd so can't see the change!

I suspect you used "Share Snapshot graph" which shares the current days graph. At the time you posted (early hours of the morning) it would have shown the change, but a graph for the current day shows the 24 hours ending at the current time when it is viewed and updates up until midnight when it shows the complete day (I think the label on the button is misleading - if this is what you did you were not the first to make this mistake and won't be the last!).

I did indeed share the snapshot, expecting it to be just that, a current snapshot image of the graph that would never update (like a photograph).

Having gone back through the BQM calendar, hopefully one of these links will show the correct image:
a) BQM Graph Before / After Line Card Replacement
b) BQM Graph Before / After Line Card Replacement

The latter link is directly to the stored image on the server rather than the BQM page.

Indeed. Maybe the graph will help someone in future seeing a similar pattern to ascertain a fault cause.
