I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone last night.
The first 20 minutes to get through to BT where I spent the next 10 minutes negotiating a new price - exactly the same package as I have at the moment, but less than half the price (~£35). So far so good. The line was clear and there were informative messages every 5 minutes or so.
Then the BT man put me through to PlusNet.
Absolute agony. 30 minutes of listening to distorted, broken up piped music. Eventually I got through. The same distortion and I had had incredible difficulty hearing what he said and vice-versa.
He made a note of the problems I had had, cancelled the three debits to my credit account and the direct debit.
