Our broadband service with Zen in Midhurst (West Sussex) went down at 13:17 hours, much earlier than claimed on their status page. It remains off line nine hours later.

A broadband service and thus VoIP is critical for our 24 hour roadside rescue service so much so that we have a duplicate broadband service with Cloudscape plus the top SLA on both lines. With Cloudscape remaining up, we are OK for now.

But are Zen's suppliers doing enough to restore their service quickly enough? What kind of fault takes so long to repair and why don't they have the decency to update their status page much more frequently?
