Seems like an automated upgrade made via your account page may never be processed if you don't chase it up. That's certainly my experience and from reading on the VM forums, quite a few others too. Why have it then?
I don't mind the annual phone call to renegotiate a better price but you'd think with all the bad press they get for this and the lucky dip of pricing, being able to make a few clicks in your account just before your contract ends would be better for all.
I recently accepted an offer presented on my account page and it really has gone wrong at every stage. Their systems must be in a mess for it to be this bad.
My intention is to put a complaint in once it's all resolved and I suspect that'll be made to be more complicated than it needs to be. I'm not wanting to be compensated but people need to let them know just how bad it is and be recorded.
