Hi moved from FTTC to FTTH both on Vodafone in December.
The speeds got bad a few days in, first OR engineer found no fault despite VF saying there was one, second one found issue with the ONT and replaced it, speeds didn't change particularly.
VF did several tests and found the speeds were below minimum guarantee and blamed it on my network and insisted a booster would help, could never answer how as I was not complaining about WIFI speeds.
They did further tests, virtually all of these I pulled the \LAN cables out as well as switching WIFI off so nothing locally connected to router and other than 1 all below minimum guarantee.
They complained about a cable (connected list there was one device out of the three that was connected at 100MB), changed cable to the one they sent with replacement router as well as buying a ACT 6 but still same issues.
crux is, speed test have been done by VF to the router and nearly all have been with nothing connected to the router my end - LAN pulled out, WIFI disconnected.
Fibre is either a connection or not, what could be causing the speed issues?
The guy who fitted the cable was not the most dedicated, he was going to leave the ONT hanging loose, and had to ask him to fix to wall, from the fascia to drop, about a metre and half was left unpinned to wall, first OR engineer who came after install and issue fixed it.
At the end of the road with VF, thinking if I do move, speeds wont improve or could they?

Do you know of a close neighbour who is on FTTP , and is not with Vodafone ? Might you ask to run some speed tests at their place.

FTTP has only recently been rolled out, on my street I am the only one and I would hazard on the exchange probably less than a dozen people even if that, I live quite close and the school run is on the way, virtually all of the CBT are without connections, which is not surprising as Town has had VM for years.
