EE Broadband

[link to this post]

In October of last year, I renewed my contract with EE for the price of £42.99 a month for Full Fibre 500. I have only recently seen that on my bill they are charging me £62.85 per month! I called their customer services and gave them the details and the polite service advisor advised that the contract had not been put through and changed over. (I have the contract in front on me). She said it needs to go through to the appropriate department so they could look into it and hopefully process my refund. They would contact me and let me know what they are going to do.
In the meantime, I was put through to the sales team to get a contract up and running again.
I gave the sales advisor a few brief details about what had happened; however, I was then offered a contract for £49.99 per month after THEIR SCREWUP (£7 a month more than the contract). The service advisor would not budge even after me explaining the situation. I did not renew under the new terms
Four days later I received an email from EE Your complaint reference: VOL013-964342714584 – we have now closed your complaint. THAT’S IT, no other information, no call from an advisor!!! WHAT DID YOU CONCLUDE?
SINCE 99% OF BROADBAND is Openreach and all the same quality of service, I am now with Sky Broadband £23 a month cheaper than what I am paying . Oh and it’s nearly twice as fast!!
EE owe me over £140 going by the contract in front of me and they chose to end it by not honouring the period of time and asking me to renew at a much higher price.
Really, if it’s time to renew don’t stay, move and get a better customer service.(Cheaper).
Nearly ALL Broadband in run by openreach and the front end is the difference!! EE could not provide a reasonable solution to their mess up.

I think a lesson to all is check your monthly bill outgoings as its always harder to get money back after a prolonged period of time when the loss is even greater.

It's the BT/EE account number.

Unlimited Edition. Unlimited Supply.

That's not technically accurate.

Different ISPs use different backhaul networks to connect the head-end exchanges to handover points. Providers like BT Wholesale, CityFibre, Zen, and TalkTalk offer various backhaul options that ISPs can choose from. These networks differ in terms of capacity, resilience, and routing.

Additionally, ISPs’ core networks also vary — particularly in their capacity, resilience, and interconnectivity (peering arrangements).
