Can you access this site (Virgin Users)

Hello.

Starting about 3 weeks ago, some members of our forum : www.c2club.co.uk were suddenly blocked from accessing it. Most seem to be on a NTL/Virgin line. Can any users confirm whether or not they can access it?

We thought it was the site blocking it but no names/IP's are being banned.

Any help appreciated

I can see it - have they recently changed ip/host? can they tracert to it

i can access it, but it takes a little while, dont know its its my SLOWWWW net connection or the site.

Site comes up fine here too.

As for the tracert, which is a utility built into Windows that allows you to trace the route from your home connection to the destination site:

Open a command prompt (click Start ---- click Run ---- and type cmd and hit OK)
Then type "tracert www.c2club.co.uk" (without the quotes)

Came up instantly .

I'm on Virgin 4meg - constantly see 3.7 or better on the ADSL Guide tester [ and others ] and very rarely have a moan about Virgin

Can't remember when I last had a dropped connection - October perhaps - for about 30 mins and the whole area was out .

the user - as already stated it is a utility to trace the route to the server which can help determine where the error might be

when I do it the links leaving Virign are and you'd see something similar-

first - if you go to the system menu (top left corner) of a command prompt, you can select copy all from the edit menu and copy - this gives you the text to paste in here/put in an email

but from what I see - it looks the server smc.fmfhost.net (where web site is hosted) is rejecting incoming connections from your ip address (probably a whole range) - the website will need to talk to their hosting company

Thankyou very much for an answer, I will pass it on to the person concerned and get the site owner to contact the hosts.
