I just had a letter come with my monthly bill saying that tech support is now free.

Must be feeling guilty about taking peoples money then traffic manageing them.

Free from a BT phone line, as well as a Virgin Media one?

Asking because you don't have to take a VM line to have their broadband?

From the 1st of June, VM will be changing the premium support number[1] (0906 212 1111) back to the original numbers (151 free from a VM phone or an 0845 number[2] not yet released, from a non-VM phone).

[1] Calls cost 25p per minute. There is a 10p connection cost from Virgin Media landlines. Charges from mobiles and other networks may vary. If the fault is found to be with Virgin Media the cost of these calls will be refunded at a cost of 25p per minute.

[2] Apparently it will be charged at 6p/min.
