I think the engineer who set up your virgin supplied equipment should really have set up wireless security for you.
But if they didn't, you should be able to turn on WPA2 security by opening the DLink settings page in your web browser:- type in 192.168.0.1 as the address (admin is the default username to login, password is either blank or 'admin' again, i can't recall). Click on 'Setup' at the top, then 'Manual Wireless Connection Setup' and then 'Wireless Setup' in the list on the left. Scroll down to near the bottom and select 'AUTO(TKIP/AES)' from the pull down menu. Enter a password just below, click save and then you should be done - Your mac should now ask for the password to connect to the wireless router.
Don't worry about the disc, it's not really needed.
