This post has got nothing to do with Virgin's cable broadband services BUT:
My neighbour pensioner, who is cripple for walking, and her partner, who is also in the hospital for over a week while waiting for his diagnostic result, have been without their Virgin Cable phone for nearly 2 week! This is very frustrating for them as the pensioner has got arthritis which has stopped her from using the small mobile phone's keypad at all, in other words the Virgin Cable phone is her ONLY mean of communications to the outside world, even for emergency! Each time either her or her friends chased up Virgin for her how soon their phone disconnection could be fixed by, Virgin Customer Service repeatedly saying that it is their door-step outside cable has caused this problem, their cable man was working on it! However I am living nearly by and I could observe that this new cable in fact has been laid for over a week without further work at all.
That is why I posted this mail hoping that something can be done urgently for this pensioner lady, because she would NOT be able to communicate to the outside word, even for 999-Services she had a fall etc., without her phone service at all!!
They live in Basildon area, Essex, and I hope that this post can trigger some kind of sympathetic response from Vergin because I feel that their Customer Service may not help out speedily enought in this case!
