Cable and Wireless digging up my street in Corwthorne

Hi All,

We live in a un-cabled area in Crowthorne Berkshire and last week a construction team arrived and started digging up the sidewalk to install what looks like new ducting. I asked the construction guys who the work was for and they told me cable and wireless. They also said they would be putting in a mini exchange of sorts in the future, I asked him when he thought this would be done and he didn�t have any idea.

I looked and C&W website and i couldn�t find any information about the work and neither on Virgins website.

Does anyone know if Cable is coming to this area of Crowthorne?

Despite their name, I don't believe they actually do any per-street duct work for Virgin these days.

It could be as simple as someone has requested a leased line and the most direct path was across your street.

Are their any signs up saying who they're working for? If it is Virgin, it should say.

Thanks for replying, I had a walk up and down the street this morning and couldnt see any Virgin signs, other then Cable and Wireless,so you are probaly right, no cable for us anytime soon then
