Cost of BB and Phone

At the moment I have XL TV; XL Phone and L BB.all with VM Cable. Due to cost I will probably have to bin the TV package but keep the phone and BB package. According to the web site the cost of the BB and phone will eventually be about £ 30 per month which I think is a bit high. Can some kind soul who is on this package please tell me what they are paying per month? I know that my BB speed is always about 9 mb/s with no disconnects and I am quite happy with this. Can I expect to get it cheaper than £30. Thanks.

Hi, I would just take the broadband only package L @ £21 p/m
For your Phone system I would use Vonage @ £5.99 inc anytime uk calls. This is what I do and I couldn't be happier. I personally use 50meg.

Total £23 p/m VS £5.99
This works out £21 broadband £5.99 phone , total £26.99
If you work out virgin media price £13.50 broadband, phone line rental £12.99, anytinme calls £8, calller id £2. total £36.49.

This saves you £120 a year!

Thanks commsguru . I haven't heard of this so I will look into it. How does it connect to extension phones? As regards the cost of BB and te,l I have recieved an E mail from VM customer services telling me that to cancel my TV service will cost £50 and I will then lose my triple package discount of £24 so that the cost of my LBB and XL Tel' will cost me £48.49 per month ! ! I still have three months to go on my present contract so I will have to wait untill it finishes. I am still waiting for someone who is just getting L BB and XL Tel to tell me the cost, thanks.

its £34.49 for just LBB and XL phone providing you have a direct debit.

Dare I say that I'm with AOL (now TT I think).
Telephone, free calls and ADSL+ broadband for �23 odd a month.

Depends on where you are, of course, but I get about 7M down, and apparently on LLU and 2.2Km from exchange with 32db attenuation.

I must be one of the few AOL customers who is reasonably happy
