Tech questions to ask on installation

I`m thinking of signing up to virgin media net TV phone ...etc

Thing is to hopefully stop alot of hassle is there any specific question i should ask `Installation person` Like tech questions..... power gain on the line etc.

Any helpfully questions to ask about any VM service would be a help

Way i see it if it`s 30 pounds a time to call them out might as well get the most out of the only free vist.....lol

PS i would get the 50Mb internet connection.

They come out free to fix faults.

I doubt that if I'd asked the two clowns who installed mine what the capital of France was they'd have known.

The only real tip I have is to try and make sure it's working before they disappear. A favourite tactic seems to be to just get you as far as the VM "walled garden" and leave you to register. If they haven't correctly called in the MAC of the hub you'll have to do it yourself and any contact with VM TS is both time consuming and a bit of a lottery.

pretty sure i would and if i didn`t i would obviously look up on the subject before ordering.

But due to the lack of response to the question im sure everyone has no problems after the installation.

Like the power gain example i`ve read should be as close to 0 as possible but on the + side ... is this something the installer can check....

which leads me back to anything else they can do to check or tweak the service straight away.

Read this and you'll know what the up/down voltages should be and why. I've had a 20Mbps install and an upgrade to 50Mbps and neither set of installers checked them.
