How Do I Get An Email Account

I have just moved into my Brother's house and I wanted to know what I need to do to get my own email address? I use Windows Mail and I tried to set it up in there but it asks for a password. My Nephew said that he needed to do something on their Virgin account page first to set it up. I am all confused now as he can't seem to access that page.

Any help would be appreciated.
