Has been impossible of late to play games, or stream anything on my Virgin Media 30Mb connection.
I've checked the FAQs for the BQM but don't know what to make of my graph.
It looks like high utilisation. If you look, the blue is relatively close to the green (average latency is close to the minimum latency) and no red (packet loss) between 0030 and 0700 when most people are asleep. Once people get up, the average latency (blue) and maximum latency (yellow) rise. Between 1800 and 0030, everything rises sharply and the red indicates packet loss - this is severe over-utilisation.
Yes it's a real shame that they let parts of their network get so bad they are virtually unusable at peak times for months on end. I had one spell of pretty poor performance but most of the time it works quite well - mind you if I were a gamer I might think differently.
I wonder if they'll be any better now they're under new ownership...
BT will be the savior of my area. Hopefully people will switch to BT, and take some of the stress off of Virgin's network. THen both sides will be happy.

Virgin won't be happy though their customers might.
I wondered if they were holding back on expenditure to make the profits higher and so look more attractive to buyers. Now the deal is sealed (I think) perhaps they'll resume doing what they should have been doing this past year or more - making the upgrades they promised and have let slip time badly in many areas and actually fixing the areas with really bad congestion.
