Superhub issue today only!

My superhub was working just peachy yesterday (which says something considering what a piece of [censored] it is!). However this morning I couldn't connect to any newsgroup servers with my existing clients. Strange I thought, maybe an issue with my newsgroup provider, so I emailed them and they confirmed everything was working fine and my account was up to date.

After rebooting router, clearing dns cache, and reinstalled newsleecher I finally stumbled across the problem. From this morning it appears that if I want to connect to any SSL server I have to set my superhub firewall to LOW, or it refuses to connect at all.

What tosh is this folks???

Has the firmware changed to V2.38.01 ? Mine has.

yes, strangely it has.

Also downloading via secure newsgroups on the default port 563 is now throttled to 1MB.

Still now, Virgin media refuse to inform customers what exactly the firewall settings do.
