Is anyone having any problems ?
I've had no e-mails in from Virgin's e-mail server since about 2pm yesterday , originally could send out from my MacMail program now even that's not possible . Can't get to Virgin Server Status for e-mails- get a dialogue box telling me that Safari 'can't find the server mail.ntlworld.com'

I've just tried to send emails to friends on ntlworld.com and all the emails are bouncing - "invalid sequence of commands" or some such.
Emails elsewhere are fine.
Looks like a virgin/ntlworld problem.

Just seen this thread on their forums.
Clearly a major faux pas somewhere.

Well - that is a right mess for Virgin to sort out.
It certainly started earlier than last night as I got nothing in after 12ish then got a couple of things in about 3 [ including some attachments of Documents ] and then again a couple about 9pm. so I would have thought they had been having intermittent problems for most of the afternoon
I stopped being able to send out about 9pm
Good job my secondary account doesn't go through Virgin at all

I see from that thread I linked to earlier that the estimated fix time has now been put back to 8:30pm - though no date given

Oh I ain't holding my breath , I just hope it eventually gets sorted out. I REALLY don't fancy having to change my e-mail address to a Virgin media one - too many folk to tell

The only ones I lost were those that had been bounced back to the sender with the permanent delivery failure - there weren't many of those [ 4 or 5 ] Everything else , though I read them on Webmail once that was available, I had marked as unread so they would come down once the problem was solved.
