Connection started playing up last night.... now checking the graph something is up.... speeds are fine. Maybe an issue between TB and Virgin?

Yeah, it appears to be a nationwide issue with congested peering links to the rest of the internet. I'm in London and my latency graph looks identical to yours and innerlurken's. Your default speedtest is showing fine because it defaults to the nearest/lowest latency server, which will normally be a Virgin media one. Since it's on Virgin's network the latency and speed will show as fine, however if you choose a non-virgin server you'll see that speeds and latency are shocking (I'm on 120/12):

Looks to be nationwide, i see posts on the virgin community also. First time i've seen an issue at all in all my time on Virgin.

Also it appears to be only a UK peering issue - ping to UK servers is high, e.g. multiplay.co.uk - 120ms however german servers are normal (c. 45ms to spiegel.de)

I monitor 4 Virgin Media connections including my own and all have the same issue's with TBB and Andrews and Arnold BQM servers, However my Rapidswitch BQM's are unaffected is can be seen below,

But obviously a Virgin routing issue for the 2 weekend in a row!
