Virgin Media Broadband Paid Upfront

I'm looking at getting virgin media cable internet only installed at my address.

But I do not like direct debits and monthly bills.

Is there a way to order the 28.50 a month internet only package and pay for the whole year up front? Would they allow me to do this.

Is the call centre based in the UK?

I've no idea whether VM allow alternate payment plans but I'll bet they'll charge you more for it.

If you really don't like DD (for some weird reason) you are probably better off creating a new separate bank account just for this, and then simply put a years worth of payments in it.

I'm sure if you placed the order via the phone, they would let you have it without direct debit and then you would pay a lump sum of money onto the account which will act as credit on all the bills.

Yes Virgin do have UK call centres!

Last year I paid in advance for my broadband only package and got quite a good discount.
