Anyone know the date when Virgin increases its 50mb service

On ISP review it mentions the speed boost coming our way but no date.

There will be no automatic upgrades as we understand, the new packages are expected to be the default for new customers at end of the month.

So once they are live and if you want one, you'll need to chase and confirm any cost/contract/terms changes

i went from 50Mb to 100Mb for £5 more a month, no brainer really for me

My 50 Mbps download service went to 70 Mbps and now stands at 76.78 Mbps, with the occasional drop to as low as 76.15 Mbps (according to SamKnows).

Virgin aren't dishing out a free upgrade they have just decided to stop selling 50mb, start selling 300mb and shift the pricing "for new customers down by £5"

Spoke to Virgin today as I was trying to get a free move to the 200mb Gamer service or the upgrade to 300mb for an extra £5 but due to the above it would cost me an extra £5 or £10 for 300mb.

I would assume if you reconstructed for the 100mb, they would honour new pricing but seems nothing for existing customers without new contract for the moment.
