I have been on the 350mbps package for 3 months now and have had a lot of problems in dips of speed and latency. It looks like they have actually taken into account my constant calls and had some work done at the exchange, i am now receiving constant max speeds with no spikes over the past 2 weeks.
I am also surprised on the thinkbroadband speed test it actually reaches some astounding speeds.

Nice, still waiting for it to come to my area, in the meantime I'm stuck on only 220Mbps.
|
|
The results on the TBB test do seem to have improved recently generally.

Just for the record nothing has changed on the tester, any changes are the result of Virgin Media changing stuff

Poor bloke!
I know, tragic...
When they going to bring the upload into line with the competitors... really sucks on sub 200 products, and 20mbps with 300mbps is just [censored]!

I've paid for 300mb and getting this..............
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6806040863
and my hub stats are...............
SFID 726927
Max Traffic Rate 402500000
Primary Upstream Service Flow
SFID 726926
Max Traffic Rate 22010000
Looks like paying for 300mb getting more or less 400mb ok as you do

Impressive.
I paid for 300 once and got 3 - and now they dont sell it here - no great loss
|
|
They started to sell it shortly after my post, had a quick start pack, had to wait a week for an engineer to fix a fault but now it's working it's pretty much 383mbps 24/7
Finally. no peak dip to 3mbps! - sounds like they have done a lot of improvement work.

It's brilliant isn't it? So much extra speed not sure what to do with all of it half the time!
|
|
What's the UP speed?
Was Eclipse Home Option 1, VM 2Mb & O2 Standard
Now Utility Warehouse (up to 16mbps) via Talk Talk
|
|
I usually get about 21 up constantly

Yes - After they actually got it right - it is [censored] amazing!
i've noticed I have stopped downloading for the sake of it now. I've done about 200GB since I had it put in, not needed to download anytime else.
21 up for me too.
Edit a few speedtests..

I've actually missed the fact that on VM you can still stream/download full pelt even when uploading.

Thanks - I didn't know that.
I hope there are some upload speed improvements in the future, but then again dosen't everyone on VM? :/
